A 32-year-old man was taken into custody at an Orange County airport on suspicion of murder, authorities said Thursday.
Officers patrolling an area near the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway east of Diamond Bar Boulevard around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday discovered a white Acura sedan parked on the right shoulder, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers discovered the vehicle was unoccupied, but an investigation led them to a 56-year-old woman whose body was found behind a nearby concrete sound wall.
Officers from the CHP Southern Division Investigative Services Unit and the CHP Baldwin Park located Downey resident Sercan Naldoken around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday at John Wayne Airport, in Santa Ana, and booked him into the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Inmate Reception Center on suspicion of murder.
