Firefighters knocked down a house fire Sunday in Lake Balboa.
The blaze at 7527 N. Lasaine Ave. was reported at 5:53 p.m., Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.
The fire in the house started in the patio area and spread to the attic and one other room, Stewart added. An adjacent home was protected.
The department dispatched 36 firefighters to the scene. The flames were knocked down in 19 minutes, Stewart said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of this fire remained under investigation, she said.
