Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad personnel investigated a “suspicious vehicle” in the downtown Los Angeles area, but ultimately determined it posed no threat.

Officers went to the 500 block of South Flower Street early Monday afternoon, police said. It was unclear exactly what prompted the determination the vehicle was suspicious.

By about 4 p.m., however, police announced that investigators determined there was no threat posed by the vehicle, and streets that had been blocked off were reopened.

No other details were immediately released.
