A 14-year-old was wounded in a drive-by shooting in Westminster, police said Friday.
Officers responded to the 7000 block of 21st Street, near Hoover Street, at around 8:33 p.m. Thursday to a report about shots fired, according to Westminster Police Department Sgt. Alan Aoki.
Upon arrival, officers located a 14-year-old who sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the wrist. He was taken to a hospital for treatment, Aoki said.
Witnesses heard between four to five gunshots, possibly from an unknown vehicle that fled away at a high rate of speed moments afterward, Aoki said.
