A man was stabbed in an argument with his Long Beach roommate, authorities said Saturday.
The stabbing occurred about 11:05 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of East Market Street, near Elm Avenue, according to Long Beach police Officer Eric Stachura.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that the victim and his roommate, the male adult suspect, were having a verbal argument, which escalated when the suspect stabbed the victim,” Stachura said. “The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.”
The victim suffered upper body wounds that were not believed life-threatening, he said.
