A Silver Alert was issued Thursday evening for a missing 74-year-old man last seen in Santa Monica.
The California Highway Patrol issued the alert on behalf of the Santa Monica Police Department in the search for Carlos Zertuche. Authorities said he was last seen around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday near 21st Street and Santa Monica Boulevard.
“Zertuche may display aggressive behavior, use caution when approaching,” according to the CHP alert.
He was described as 5-foot-9, weighing 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be on foot, and wearing a dark shirt and black pants.
Anyone who sees him or knows his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
