Firefighters knocked down a house fire Friday in Studio City.
Firefighters responded to the 4200 block of North Beeman Avenue, on the block north of Weddington Golf & Tennis, to a report of a fire with heavy smoke showing, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It took 20 firefighters 16 minutes to extinguish the flames, Stewart said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
