A Cessna aircraft making an emergency landing in French Valley Saturday morning ignited a an approximately one-acre vegetation fire that was contained by firefighters, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 4:16 a.m., occurring in the area of Auld and Briggs roads, the Riverside County Fire Department reported. The aircraft, fully engulfed in flames, landed in a field.

The fire was contained at 5:35 a.m.

No information was released on the condition of the occupant inside the aircraft.
