A man was stabbed during an attempted robbery Saturday morning in Long Beach, authorities said.
Officers dispatched at 12:20 a.m. to the 100 block of West Artesia Boulevard regarding a stabbing located a man with a non-life-threatening wound to the upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Paramedics took him to a hospital.
“The preliminary investigation suggests the victim and an unknown male adult suspect were engaged in a verbal and physical dispute during the commission of a robbery which escalated when the suspect stabbed the victim,” according to a police statement.
The suspect fled the scene in a white vehicle with a woman, police said.
No further information was immediately available.
