One person was hospitalized after being shot in Moreno Valley Saturday.
The shooting was reported around 1 a.m. Saturday in the area of Webster and Indian avenues, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
When deputies arrived, they found a victim lying on the sidewalk from an apparent gunshot wound. The person was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
Witnesses told deputies the victim and two other people were walking on Webster Avenue when a dark-colored vehicle approached the group and began shooting. After the victim was struck, the vehicle sped away, according to Sgt. Alfredo Medina.
Information on the two other individuals who were with the victim was not immediately available.
