An apartment building in Hollywood was evacuated Tuesday while police investigated a reported threat that someone was going to burn the structure down, authorities said.
Officers were sent to the 1500 block of North Serrano Avenue about 8:45 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Arriving officers smelled natural gas and asked firefighters to respond as a precaution, police said. No injuries were reported.
The evacuation was continuing late Tuesday morning, police said.
