A magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck four-tenths of a mile west-southwest of Bell at 9:41 p.m. Tuesday evening with a depth of 13 kilometers, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
A dispatcher at the Bell Police Department said the department had not received any calls regarding property damage or injuries.
A USGS map indicates shaking was felt as far north as the San Fernando Valley and south to Orange County.
