A 28-year-old pedestrian who was struck by at least one vehicle and killed on the San Diego (405) Freeway in the unincorporated Lennox was identified Tuesday.
The death was reported at 3:42 a.m. Monday on the northbound San Diego Freeway at Lennox Boulevard near LAX, California Highway Patrol Officer Michael Nasir told City News Service.
The pedestrian, who was identified as Ramon Madera by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office, was pronounced dead at the scene, Nasir said.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 4:14 a.m. shutting down lanes 2 through 5 in the area of the crash.
