Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau personnel were sent to Alhambra Wednesday evening to assist Homicide Bureau detectives to apprehend a barricaded suspect.
Deputies responded to the 2700 block of West Valley Boulevard near South Fremont Avenue at around 7:12 p.m. to a report of a man suspected of committing an assault with a deadly weapon and who barricaded himself inside a business, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
A Crisis Negotiation Team will attempt to persuade the suspect to surrender, a deputy said.
