One person was shot south of downtown Los Angeles Thursday, prompting a police search for a suspect who may be barricaded in an apartment building.
Officers responded to South Hill Street and West Adams Boulevard at around 5 p.m. to a report of shots fired, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said a person was shot near a liquor store in the area. The person was treated by paramedics, but the victim’s condition was unknown.
According to police and crews on the scene, the suspect was believed to be barricaded in an apartment building in the area, possibly near 25th and Hill streets.
No further information was immediately available.
