Firefighters knocked down a fire inside a commercial building Sunday in the Vermont-Slauson area of Los Angeles.

The blaze inside the one-story building at 470 W. 60th St. was reported at 7:20 p.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.

The building was the site of a previous fire and this one burned through the roof, Prange said.

The department dispatched 30 firefighters to the scene and knocked down the flames in less than 15 minutes, Prange said.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation, he said.
