A 71-year-old man with dementia who went missing from the South Los Angeles area last week has been found safe, police said Monday.
Philip Mays, who is nonverbal, had last been seen on July 19 at about 5 p.m. in the 4200 block of 11th Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police announced Monday afternoon that Mays was found at an unspecified hospital in good health and in stable condition.
