Fire crews extinguished a residential fire Thursday that spread to a nearby home with no reports of injuries in the Valley Glen area.
According to spokeswoman Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department, firefighters responded to a residential fire in the 12600 block of Oxnard Street, near Beeman Avenue, around 3:10 p.m. where flames burning from the original unit were intense and extended to the attic of one of the other exposed residence.
It took 34 firefighters 24 minutes to fully contain the flames at the property, which has multiple single-family dwellings, Stewart said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No further immediate information is available.
