Authorities Friday were working to arrest suspects in a Brea bank robbery who led police on a vehicle chase to Anaheim.
The chase led to the area of Gene Autry Way and State College Boulevard late Friday morning, where multiple suspects got out of the vehicle and ran off, according to authorities and reports from the scene.
Anaheim city officials warned residents to stay away from the are as a precaution because of a “large police presence” that included SWAT officers and a police helicopter.
According to Fox 11, an Anaheim resident called the station and said management at their apartment building alerted residents to shelter in place because of the pursuit termination nearby and concerns that a suspect ran into the building.
Police established a perimeter, and the investigation was continuing early Friday afternoon.
