Authorities Friday were working to arrest a suspect in a Brea bank robbery who led police on a vehicle chase to Anaheim.
The chase led to the area of Gene Autry Way and State College Boulevard late Friday morning, where the suspect got out of the vehicle and ran off, possibly entering an apartment building, according to authorities and reports from the scene.
Anaheim city officials warned residents to stay away from the are as a precaution because of a “large police presence” that included SWAT officers and a police helicopter.
According to Fox 11, an Anaheim resident called the station and “said they received an alert from management at their apartment building and were told to shelter in place due to the pursuit termination and that the suspect ran into the apartment building.”
