A 37-year-old man who was fatally shot in South Los Angeles was identified Friday by county authorities.
Officers from the Southeast Division of the Los Angeles Police Department responded at 8:24 p.m. Tuesday to San Pedro and West 87th streets where they found the victim on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as Waldemar Lucero.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the scene to assist Lucero, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no suspect information.
