Firefighters Tuesday contained a fire that scorched about an acre of brush in the Chinatown area.

No structures were damaged by the fire, which was reported about 12:50 p.m. in the 400 block of West Solano Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire was contained in 42 minutes, according to the LAFD. No injuries were reported.

Some firefighters remained on scene Tuesday afternoon dousing hot spots.
