Using an interior approach to battle a fire with intense flames, firefighters extinguished a blaze at a two-story home Wednesday south of the University of Southern California in South Los Angeles.
Fire crews were called at 1:43 a.m. to a vacant residence at 1360 W. 41st St. south of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and began defensive maneuvers before transitioning to an interior attack, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
It took 55 firefighters 50 minutes to extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported.
