Firefighters using hose packs knocked down a small brush fire Saturday in remote terrain in Encino, authorities said.

Firefighters were dispatched at 10:41 a.m. to 3905 N. Lake Vista Court, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

The fire burned a half-acre.

“This will be an extended mop up operation due to the remote terrain and difficulty accessing by foot,” the LAFD’s Margaret Stewart said.

No structures were threatened. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
