Six people were arrested during a DUI checkpoint in San Jacinto, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced Saturday.
The checkpoint was conducted from 8 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday on San Jacinto Boulevard, north of Midway Street.
Two people were arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and four were arrested for allegedly driving with a suspended driver’s license, according to Sgt. Patrick Lynch.
A total of 827 vehicles were screened.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
