A motorcyclist was killed this evening in a collision with a car in San Pedro.
The crash was reported at 5:49 p.m. in the 900 block of South Western Avenue, near the Deane Dana Friendship Park and Nature Center, said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, Stewart said. The age and gender of the deceased rider was not available.
No other injuries were reported, she said. The cause of the collision was under investigation.
