A fire in the kitchen in an apartment in a three-story garden-style building in the Mid-City area Thursday evening was extinguished in 13 minutes by 18 firefighters with no injuries reported.
Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters responded to the 6100 block of Pickford Street, between La Cienega and Crescent Heights boulevards, around 9:15 p.m., according to LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
It’s unclear what may have sparked the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
