A fire damaged a residential board-and-care facility in Garden Grove Monday and left one person with smoke inhalation, authorities said.

Firefighters sent to the 9000 block of Katella Avenue about 4:45 a.m. quickly extinguished the fire and prevented the flames from spreading to three adjacent structures, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.

Ten residents were displaced, and one person was treated for smoke inhalation, OCFA officials said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
