Authorities were investigating a possible stabbing at or near a school in the South Los Angeles area Tuesday.
Paramedics sent to the 2300 block of South Gramercy Place about 12:45 p.m. on a report that a person was injured in a possible stabbing took the person to a hospital in unknown condition, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
According to ABC7, authorities went to J.P. Widney High School, also known as the Widney Career Preparatory & Transition Center, after receiving reports of a stabbing.
A student was being treated on campus by school nurses, and a suspect was detained, according to Channel 7.
