A 40-year-old man found shot to death in South Gate was identified Friday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Investigators were sent to the 8600 block of Garfield Avenue about 7:30 a.m. Thursday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Jose Baena was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the medical examiner’s office.
No arrests were reported.
