A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a 2014 Honda Civic in Irwindale, authorities said Saturday.
Irwindale police officers were called at 7:10 p.m. Friday to Morada Street and Arrow Highway where they learned the Civic was turning left from Moraga onto Arrow Highway and the motorcycle, a black 2021 Honda Rebel, was traveling in the west lanes of Arrow Highway when the two collided at the intersection, said Sgt. Diego Cornejo.
A witness called 911 and Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene, but the man riding the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Civic remained and cooperated with police, Cornejo said. It was not known whether alcohol or drugs played a factor in the collision.
The crash closed all lanes of Arrow Highway between Anyon and Vincent avenues.
Anyone with information about this collision was asked to call Officer Steven Ortiz at 626-2244 or email sortiz@irwindaleca.gov.
