Three people were killed Saturday morning during a multi-vehicle crash in South Los Angeles, near the Westmont community of unincorporated Los Angeles County, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 5:25 a.m. at South Vermont Avenue and West Century Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The CHP reported at 6:27 a.m. that the Los Angeles Police Department will take over the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the traffic crash.
There was no other information available.
