A Metro A (Blue) Line train struck a vehicle on the tracks outside Vernon Friday, leaving one person injured.

The crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. at 48th Place and Long Beach Avenue, officials said.

Los Angeles Fire Department crews on the scene said one person was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

Metro trains were still running through the area, but they were sharing a single track, and the transit agency warned passengers to expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
