Two people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol in Eastvale, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced Sunday.
Deputies conducted a DUI checkpoint between 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Limonite and Hamner avenues.
A total of 904 vehicles were screened, four of which were stored or impounded, according to the sheriff’s department.
Additionally, 23 were citations issued for driving without a license, and seven citations were issued for various traffic violations.
Funding for the checkpoint was provided to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
