A 53-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of her roommate in Garden Grove, authorities said Wednesday.
Michelle Buzick was located in Riverside County and taken into custody by Riverside County Sheriff’s Department deputies on Tuesday at the request of detectives from the Garden Grove Police Department, said Garden Grove Police Department Sgt. Mark Lord.
Garden Grove police received a call Tuesday from the San Diego Police Department regarding a victim who had been was shot and killed at a residence in Garden Grove, Lord said. Around the same time, Garden Grove police received a 911 call from a resident who found his roommate, a man in his 60s, dead in the 10000 block of Lotus Street.
In the course of their investigation, detectives determined the information received from San Diego Police Department was related to the shooting that occurred on Lotus Street and that Buzick was also a roommate at the Lotus Street, Lord said.
Police said the motive for the shooting is unknown.
