A fire that erupted Friday in a horse stable and neighboring shed in Jurupa Valley damaged both structures but did not injure any livestock.
The blaze was reported shortly before 7 a.m. at a property in the 11000 block of Milky Way Drive, near Etiwanda Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames in the stable and shed, co-located in the backyard of the residence.
Firefighters encircled the structures and knocked the blaze down in an hour.
“There were no injuries to any civilians, firefighters or livestock,” according to a fire department statement.
Crews were expected to complete mopping up at the location by early Friday afternoon.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
