Los Angeles Fire Department crews made quick work of a fire at a two-story home in the Mid-Wilshire area Friday, and there were no immediate reports of any injuries.
Firefighters responded around 3:45 p.m. to the home in the 5500 block of Edgewood Place, near San Vicente Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
Thick smoke was initially seen coming from the home, but fire crews were quickly able to bring the blaze under control.
There was no immediate word on what sparked the fire. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
