A man who was found dead on the Golden State (5) Freeway near Boyle Heights was identified Friday.
The victim was identified by the Los Angeles County Medical-Examiner’s office as Kevin Casado, 28, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His city of residence was not immediately known.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol were called at 2:58 a.m Thursday to the Soto Street on ramp of the northbound freeway where they found the victim, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
The CHP issued a SigAlert that closed the northbound freeway for over two hours.
