Fire crews quickly extinguished a blaze in a shed behind a single-story home in North Hills Friday, and no injuries were reported.
According to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey, firefighters responded to the 9600 block of North Noble Avenue between Lassen and Plummer streets around 2:10 p.m.
Crews knocked down the fire in about 17 minutes, largely containing the flames to a 10-by-15-foot shed in the rear of the home, although a two-story residence to the north of the shed sustained minor damage. The shed contained an unspecified number of 55-gallon drums of some type of oil, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
