An assault suspect was barricaded inside a home in the Whittier area Monday.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded around 1:30 p.m. Monday to the 11000 block of Inez Street near Lakeland Road, where the suspect was holed up.
Details on the alleged assault were not immediately available. Sheriff’s deputies remained on the scene late Monday afternoon.
