The crash occurred about 11 p.m. Friday in the area of Jefferson Street and Dufferin Avenue, according to the Riverside Police Department.
The driver of the 1998 Mercedes-Benz might have been under the influence of alcohol when he failed to negotiate a curve while southbound on Jefferson approaching Dufferin, police said. He lost control of the car and crashed into a tree.
