Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire Saturday at a three-story apartment complex in the Vermont-Slauson neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
Fire crews were called at 4:38 a.m. to 960 W. 62nd Place and Vermont Avenue. Upon their arrival, they found flames coming out of one unit with a fire sprinkler on, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
Firefighters entered the unit and extinguished the flames in 13 minutes.
No injuries were reported.
