Firefighters Saturday battled flames in a two-story, unoccupied house under construction in the Highland Park area of Los Angeles.

The fire was reported at 3:29 p.m. at 4762 E. Charters Ave., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Nicholas Prange.

Arriving firefighters found the blaze well developed and brought hose lines inside to put out flames in the attached converted garage, attic and living space of the home, Prange said.

The flames were out by 4:13 p.m., after a 44-minute effort, he said.

No injuries were reported, Prange said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
