A man was stabbed while walking on a sidewalk in Long Beach, authorities said Sunday.
Officers dispatched at 12:10 a.m. Saturday to the area of Long Beach Boulevard and First Street located a man who said he was stabbed by a suspect while walking on the sidewalk, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
The suspect fled the area after the assault.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital for wounds that were described as non-life-threatening.
The motive for the attack was unknown.
