Authorities Tuesday identified a motorist who was killed when his vehicle crashed into a tree in Lakewood.
Deputies responded to the intersection of East Carson Street and Clubhouse Drive around 7:20 p.m. Monday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Joseph Mcconchie, 46, who was homeless, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
A passenger in the vehicle was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, the sheriff’s department reported. The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
