A fire that burned a quarter-acre of vegetation in Tujunga Tuesday evening was knocked down in 33 minutes with no reports of structure threats or injuries.
Firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the 7600 block of Airlie Drive near Tujunga Canyon Boulevard around 7:30 p.m. regarding a brush fire fanned by slight wind in the San Gabriel Mountain foothills, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters battled the fire by air and on ground.
What may have sparked the fire is unclear, and the cause remains under investigation.
No evacuations were ordered, Humphrey said.
