A fire that authorities say was suspicious was quickly knocked down Wednesday in Sherman Oaks.
Fire crews were called at 1:39 a.m. to 4646 N. Nagle Ave. south of the Ventura (101) Freeway, where they battled heavy flames at the 1,409 square foot one-story home, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
It took 47 firefighters 23 minutes to extinguish the flames.
The cause of the fire is considered suspicious and was among several vegetation and debris fires that occurred in the general area at the time, including one earlier on Tuesday evening at a series of commercial buildings, also in Sherman Oaks, at 13838 Ventura Blvd., according to Humphrey.
LAFD and Los Angeles Police Department investigators are actively investigating the fires.
No injuries were reported.
