A man was killed in a collision between a box truck and a gray Toyota Camry on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Monterey Park and authorities Tuesday are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 11:24 p.m. Monday to South Atlantic Boulevard and the westbound freeway where they found the victim and the two damaged vehicles blocking multiple lanes of the freeway, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash left glass strewn across several lanes of the freeway.
The fatal collision closed all lanes of the 60 Freeway for several hours.
