A 45-year-old man was stabbed inside a Claremont hotel room and an 18-year-old woman was arrested in the case, authorities said Saturday.
The man was stabbed in the hand/wrist area about 8:10 a.m. Friday inside a room at the Claremont Lodge, at 736 S. Indian Hill Blvd., according to Claremont police Lt. Jason Walters.
“The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery due to his injury,” Walters said.
The suspect fled the hotel before officers arrived, he said.
Investigators later identified her as 18-year-old Jazmine Weldon of Canoga Park and located her in the 4100 block of Mission Boulevard in Montclair, Walters said.
The relationship between the suspect and victim was not immediately available.
Weldon was booked into the Claremont Police Department Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and mayhem and remained in custody on $100,000 bail, he said.
