A fire that erupted Monday in a San Jacinto mobile home caused major damage, displacing the five occupants.

The non-injury blaze was reported at 3:30 p.m. in the El Rancho Mobile Home Park at 258 W. Seventh St., near San Jacinto Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency said multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames in a double-wide unit.

Firefighters deployed around the structure, preventing the flames from spreading. The blaze was completely contained at 4:09 p.m., according to the fire department.

Two adults and three children were displaced.

Red Cross personnel were summoned to assist the victims with finding temporary alternate lodgings.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
